Dainty snowdrops! The clumps in my backyard were transferred from the flower gardens of my mother in law years ago. My grandmother had these too, and they are always among the first flowers of spring.
Is that what they are called, snowdrops? There are some in my backyead, they have been there for years, they dont quite have the flowers yet though. I do like how there are always so many of them.

George T., I wondered the same thing about Memphis the other day when I saw redbuds in bloom on Southern Heart's blog. They are even close to blooming here yet. Must be a different variety or something. Anyhow, we are getting another shot of winter this weekend with snow flurries predicted just north of here!

Scientific nameis (Leucojum aestivum)
Also known as Summer Smowflake. I don't know why because it blooms really early and is a tough little plant.
