  4. Good shot. It looks like you did all the right things to get the shot. It is one of the best I have seen yet.

  5. Love the colors. Great photo.
I took some photos of fireworks but my camera only wanted to see red. You can see those by clicking on personal blog here if you'd like, http://www.lv2scpbk.blogspot.com

  6. Thanks for your encouraging comments on the fireworks photo. I probably shot 50 pictures, and this one was by far the best. The "secret" must be in length of exposure and shooting the fireworks immediately after explosion. This one was taken at 1.3 seconds, f3.5, without a flash. The pictures shot at 1 second or less were "blobs," and the ones taken 1.6 seconds or longer were just streaks. I read up on how to shoot fireworks before going, and it recommended shooting with a tripod and around f8 and with a longer exposure, but I didn't use a tripod, and f8 didn't work as well for me. I think the cloudy skies and total darkness also knocked out other potentially distracting light.

  8. Very nicely done!
I have no luck with the night photos at all - you mean I have to read the camera's manual? ;-)

  9. Isabella, your photos are so magnificent that I assumed you had taken a bunch of photography courses. I bet you can take a great night photo. This shot was mostly luck, but now I know better how to take the next one. And yes, read the manual! :)

  10. Hi Selma,
I also thought (with me more, so I'mnot the only one) that this was a flower. Its always very difficult to make at the right time the right shot from firework! You did it very well , well done.
