Back in the day, downtown Selma's retail stores included Tissier Hardware,
Boston Bargain Store, Barton's, Benderskys, Eagles and more.
This display of old Selma photographs was set up at the Walton Theatre
during the recent Pilgrimage.

So much history! I love looking at photographs of the way things used to be.
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday. ☺
So much nostalgia. I think we've lost a lot with the coming of the Big Box stores and chain stores everywhere. I'll bet there isn't a corner in this country where you won't find a McDonald's or a Walmart!
A sweet little glimpse into the past. :)
Love vintage photos!
It's good to look back on our heritage.
How neat to see photos of the old Selma!
I love old photos. It's fun to see how things have changed.
don't you just love old photographs like that? i could just sit and stare at them for hours....there's a book of old photos of my county that i need to get!
I still prefer small, privately owned businesses and buy from them whenever possible. Miss bookstores especially.
So much history indeed. Makes one feel nostalgic.
