God Bless America

The banner at New Orleans Bar & Grill reminds me
 of the patriotic song that I learned in kindergarten,
 and thank goodness it's not "offensive" in the rural South!

God Bless America
by Irving Berlin

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above;

From the mountains, to the prairies,

To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.

it's quite sad that it is offensive in some places isn't it? not here though, makes me happy!
